Niaget "Nia" Jackson

Niage’t Jackson is a Columbia, SC based Licensed Professional Counselor, who has a passion for working with special and underserved populations. In her current role as Clinical Coordinator for Transgender Services; with the South Carolina Department of Corrections, she specializes in working with clients in the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria and those struggling with other issues related to gender identity.

Prior to taking this role in the beginning of 2021, Niage’t worked as a Clinical Therapist with the South Carolina Sexual Violent Predator Treatment Program. It was here where she developed her skills as a mental health professional and learned the true meaning of a famous Confucius quote, “Study the past if you would define the future.” When Niage’t isn’t working with clients, she enjoys spending time with family/friends, hiking, practicing yoga, and reading.
