Nicholas W. Pearson, a native of Darlington, South Carolina and a 2001 graduate of Darlington High School. Mr. Pearson accepted Christ in to his life at an early age at St. James United Methodist Church in Darlington, South Carolina. He is also a 2005 graduate of South Carolina State University in Orangeburg where he obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture Business. He obtained his Masters in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. Nicholas is married to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Keisha L. Pearson, and to the union of their marriage, God had blessed them with a son, Nathan Nicholas and a daughter Grace Elizbeth.
In 2005, Mr. Pearson started his career in education by teaching in Florence School District One at Wilson High School and later at Timmonsville High School in Florence School District Four. He then continued his teaching career in Chesterfield County Schools District at New Heights Middle School, where he taught Business Education for three years before being named Assistant Principal in 2010. After serving as Assistant Principal in Sumter School District for two years at Sumter High School, Mr. Pearson was name the Principal of Sumter High School in June of 2015.
As Mr. Pearson leads one of the largest high schools in South Carolina he has always taken pride in implantation and sustaining educational programs on the campus of Sumter High School. He is very active in advancing extra-curricular activities and opportunities for students as well as encouraging parental involvement. Currently, Mr. Pearson serves as a member of the Executive Committee for the South Carolina High School League, which is the governing body for all interscholastic athletics in the state of South Carolina.
Mr. Pearson currently resides in Blythewood, South Carolina. He enjoys serving the Lord as a deacon in his church, serving the community on various boards and committees, and spending time with family and friends, traveling, mentoring young people and assisting ministries at his church.
